The civilian version of the G-Class was launched in the year 1979. The 4×4 drivetrain system equipped with three sets of differentials increased its potential to the next level.

After a decade of its arrival, the W463 model series was launched in the year 1989 with upgraded interior, exterior and safety features. The 2007 model was equipped with chromed analogue dials and a four-spoke steering wheel. All the major functions were reloaded to the central console within the driver’s reach. The interior of G320 CDI, G500 and G55 AMG trims were completely wrapped in leather. Features like pedestrian protection, LED taillights and the backup camera were standard in all trims.

  • BA3 Final Edition: It was launched in 2011 and was the final series of 3-door G-Class station wagons. The final variant contains ambient lighting, 5-twin-spoke light alloy wheels, carbon stripes and an AMG grille.

G-Class 63 AMG 6X6

The G-63 model was designed to drive through any kind of terrain with ease. The car is equipped with a 6X6 drivetrain system, with two front wheels and four rear wheels. Along with this, five locking differentials and off-road reduction gear in the transfer case is also available. The Speedshift Plus 7G-Tronic automatic transmission system is paired with a 5.5-Litre V8 biturbo engine. 6X6 is a limited edition series and only a handful of vehicles were manufactured.

G-Class 4X4 Squared W463 (2018 to Present)

The 2018 model series marks the launch of the second-generation G-Class. These SUVs are built on a signature boxy body frame with wide over-fenders. The steel off-road bumper and light bar was the ultimate off-roading feature offered in this model series.

A metallic mesh is used to separate the cabin from the trunk, similar mesh is used beneath the engine to secure it from external damage.
